LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- April 11 is national pet day and if you're looking to add a furry member to your family, the Animal Refuge Center has dogs and cats that need a loving home.
According to the shelter's website, they are the largest no-kill shelter in the state. Their philosophy is that once an animal is taken in, it will not be killed to make room for another.
Our pet of the week is Finn, he is a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix. He is friendly and energetic even though he is a senior dog. You can adopt him from ARC.
The shelter is located on 18011 Old Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM until 4 PM.
