LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- The countdown is on for St. Patrick's day and the Gulf Coast Humane Society wants pet owners in the area to celebrate early.
On Friday, March 9, the shelter is hosting their "Lucky Dog Night" themed Yappy Hour event at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. There will be a pet costume contest, beer, food and music.
Cru restaurant will serve beer and wine during the event and all proceeds from the beer purchases will be donated to the Gulf Coast Humane Society.
Omaha Steaks will also present a “Doggone Good Deal” – $2 hot dogs and $1 water bottles. The proceeds will also go to the shelter.
The pet of the week is Gerry, and 8 year old maltese mix. He is blind and partially deaf. Gerry had his left eye removed and is fully recovering in foster.
