Update: Arrest made in overnight shooting on Diana Avenue in Fort Myers

**UPDATE (11:50AM)** -- Police confirm that a man was injured by gunfire at the scene on Diana Avenue early Friday morning.

Fort Myers Police say 61-year-old Luis Ortega is charged with attempted murder, armed burglary and aggravated assault.

Ortega reportedly shot 55-year-old Jose Bermudez at 95 Diana Avenue before returning to his residence at 93 Diana Avenue. When he refused to surrender to police, a SWAT team and a negotiations team were called to the scene, and Ortega was taken into custody.

Bermudez was transported by ambulance to Lee Memorial Hospital.

This investigation is active and on-going.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Fox 4's Breaking News Tracker was on the scene of an apparent stand-off in Fort Myers early Friday.

Police aren't saying much yet, but we do know they were called to a residence on Diana Avenue around 1 a.m. That's where a perimeter was set up and the SWAT team was brought in.

Our crew on scene heard police on a PA system telling someone to come out of a house.

We're told the incident ended peacefully.
