FORT MYERS, Fla. — A fatal crash involving a 53-year-old Fort Myers pedestrian was reported by the Florida Highway Patrol Saturday evening.
According to FHP, the vehicle was traveling westbound on State Road 78 Bayshore Rd., approaching the intersection of US-41. The car was at the final rest in the merge onto the right turn lane facing west.
The 53-year-old male pedestrian was crossing westbound on State Road 78 when the front portion of the vehicle hit him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
