15 suspects in multiple counties for crimes against children

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Fifteen suspects were arrested as part of a sting to apprehend those involved in crimes against children.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Charlotte, Collier, Lee County sheriff’s offices and Cape Coral and Fort Myers police departments, and Homeland Security Investigated to bring these 15 individuals to justice.

The suspects apprehended will face charges of possession of child pornography, promotion, distribution, production of child pornography, lewd and lascivious molestation, sexual battery on a child and failure to report child abuse.

Two children were rescued from sexual abuse, and dozens of other child victims were identified through these investigations.

Law enforcement wants to help protect children as summer beings keeping children safe.
