PUNTA GORDA, Fla. --- OneBlood Inc. is holding a blood drive on Monday, at the Punta Gorda office of Charlotte State Bank & Trust from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
All donors will receive a voucher for a free movie ticket and a Chick-fil-a coupon for a free chicken sandwich or eight count order of chicken nuggets. In addition, donors will receive a wellness checkup including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.
"Each donation can save up to three lives, so that means 72 patients could benefit from the lifesaving efforts of blood donors at Charlotte State Bank & Trust," said Lori O'Brien, a OneBlood account representative. "The blood donated at your blood drive will likely be transfused into a patient within 48 to 72 hours. The turnaround is that fast and is that constant."
All donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and bring some form of photo identification. Appointments are not required, but for faster service, appointments may be made online ar www.oneblooddonor.org using the sponsor code #36034.
