LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Naples woman who was involved in a fiery I-75 crash in Alico this week has now died.
Troopers say the crash happened Wednesday night when a car made a disabled stop, setting off a chain reaction.
One of the vehicles burst into flames and spread to another car.
26-year-old Ana Valdes later died at the hospital.
We learned Thursday that a political hopeful, Jesse Purdon, was driving one of the cars in that wreck. He's running to be the State Representative for District 76. That district covers Pine Island, Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach, Estero, and Bonita Springs.
Purdon wrote on Facebook that he's okay.
