CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are still investigating a serious crash on Del Prado Boulevard Thursday that left one person in critical condition.
According to Cape Coral Police, a pickup truck was headed north on Del Prado Boulevard approaching De Navarra Parkway just before 8 a.m. Thursday.
That's when another vehicle approached on De Navarra. The driver stopped at the stop sign, then proceeded to cross into the median and stopped. But then the driver proceeded into the northbound lanes as the truck was driving through and hit the truck's left side, causing it to spin into the median.
As the truck skidded through the median it began rolling over and the driver was ejected through the broken window.
The driver was trauma alerted to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injury.
Police are still investigating but say alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the crash.
