As of Thursday morning, Fort Myers Police officer Adam Jobbers-Miller remains in critical but stable condition. He was shot over the weekend and is now recovering at Lee Memorial Hospital.
And hundreds of people have now donated to his official GoFundMe account. The Fort Myers Police Department says the response has been overwhelming.
So far, more than $46,000 has been raised to help his family with medical expenses.
And there will be other ways to help support his family this weekend.
Saturday, Wingnuts Pub and Grub on Del Prado Boulevard in Cape Coral will take donations from 11am to 8pm. There will be a dunk tank, bounce house, and wings.
And Sunday, Dixie Roadhouse in Cape Coral will host a fundraiser from 6pm to 10pm. They will have live music, food, raffles, and more. A $5 donation will be requested at the door.
There will also be a fundraiser held at Sidelines on Saturday night.
