FOX 4 has a crew on the scene.
They have learned that the officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
FMPD says they expect to be directing traffic at the intersection for more than six hours.
They are waiting for DOT to repair the signals.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
They also say drivers should expect delays.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating after an officer-involved crash.
Police say Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd is shut down at Cranford Avenue.
They are diverting traffic north.
FMPD also says northbound Evans Ave is shut down, and traffic signals are completely out.
