The man who police say ran down and killed 8 people in New York, lived in Tampa.
WFTS, our sister station in Tampa spotted FBI agents at an apartment where Sayfullo Saipov lived for three months.
The agents did not respond to questions from reporters.
Saipov may have spent time in Southwest Florida according to driver license records.
Neighbors in Ft. Myers were surprised to learn Saipov listed a home address in the Park at Positano off Colonial Boulevard.
"It's a sad world that anyone would come from Florida, come from New York, come from anywhere and do something like this," said Melissa Cruz, who lives in the complex.
Driver license records also show Saipov was connected to an address a few miles away an apartment complex off Summerlin Road.
No one was home at the unit, but a neighbor who's lived there for 5 years told 4 in Your Corner off camera that he didn't recognize him.
When Saipov was arrested, police say he had a Florida driver's license with a Tampa address on it.
