FORT MYERS, Fla. — Update
The scene has been cleared and is open for traffic.
The Fort Myers Police Department has temporarily shot down traffic on north bound Fowler street just north of Winkler Avenue because of an accident.
Officials are asking motorist to avoid the area and please seek an alternate route.
The shutdown is expected to be cleared in approximately one hour sometime after 10pm.
