NORTH PORT, Fla. — North Port police say a student was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning near the high school campus.
Police tweeted just before 8:30 a.m. that they were responding to the scene on Price Blvd.
They indicated the victim appeared to be a North Port High School student and was being taken by his parents to the hospital.
The boy's injuries are not life-threatening; an investigation is ongoing.
