FORT MYERS, Fla. — There's a new space for Fort Myers Police officers to work, without having to go back to the department's central station.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday for their new substation on 4150 Ford Street Extension.
The substation will give officers a place to complete reports, meet with people in the community and conduct department business.
This will also give them more time to spend on patrol since they won't have to return to the department's central station.
