CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A new app, Green Pal, allows customers to order lawn service from nearby vendors at the click of a button. The app was launched in Southwest Florida at the beginning of January and vendors say it's given them a big business boost.

“If you want to get your lawn cut, definitely use Green Pal, because it’s the new wave of the future," said Dean Sinibaldi, owner of A Diversified Lawn

Sinibaldi says that his business revenue has grown by 15 percent in the last month after he signed up on Green Pal. The app has been successfully launched in 15 other markets which include: Nashville, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, Houston, OKC, San Antonio, Ft Lauderdale, Miami, Dallas, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and St. Louis.

Green Pal allows a customer to sign up, plug in their address, bid on a service, and then matches them with the right vendor using a secure online payment. After the service is completed, customers receive a picture of the work done and can submit approval and ratings.

“We don’t got to worry about are we going to get paid. Is the customer giving me cash or check,”  said Sinibaldi.

The Co-Founder, Gene Caballero, gave this statement to Fox 4 as why they chose to bring the app to Southwest Florida:

" We actually launched in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami a few months ago and we had a lot of vendor sign up and homeowner sign ups in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area.  When we see interest from both parties, we know that we need to establish a presence in that community."

Sinibaldi explained that at the rate his business is growing, he could be looking for more hands on board.

“I feel that I will be able to generate enough business just off of Green Pal alone that I will have to hire help...By the time summer comes around, it’s going to be pretty busy.”

Green Pal is free to download and sign up. You can sign up at www.yourgreenpal.com.
