ESTERO, Fla. — March is National Multiple Sclerosis awareness month and despite the pandemic, there are lots of ways to still get involved.
Typically, people gather to walk and raise money at events across Southwest Florida, but this year things look a little different.
The Walk MS Estero event is this Saturday, March 6th, but it is virtual.
You can create teams, raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and all you have to do is walk with your family and friends around your neighborhood or your local park.
“We are still making walk MS fun and a great event for all of our participants “Antonella Fegan, National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
This year’s theme is “Move Forward Your Way”. Participants will be able to personalize their walk and do their own thing.
“We know there is a lot of people affected by MS out there and we want to make sure we are there for them, that we are able to provide the services for them and they know that their community is supporting them,” said Fegan.
