FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. -- We're learning the man who was reported missing from a shrimp boat based in Fort Myers Beach has been located and was arrested.
Tuesday, the U.S. Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife, and the Lee County Sheriff's Office were searching by boat and in the air with a helicopter for 23-year-old Brandon Scerri.
Crime Stoppers says Scerri was found alive and well Wednesday morning.
According to the incident report from the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Scerri attacked two men with a sledge hammer on the Trico Shrimp Company boat.
The men said Scerri then left the boat.
Scerri was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon after he was found.
