Man with 128 bags of heroin found guilty after two day trial in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — In 2018 the Lee County Sheriff’s Office pulled over Jaquadvias Byrd for a seatbelt violation.

Deputies noticed Byrd was stuffing thing down his pants while in his car.

During a pat-down, 34 smaller baggies fell out of his pants.

The baggies tested positive for heroin.

After a two-day trial, Jaquadvias Byrd was found guilty for Trafficking in Illegal Drugs.

That plastic bag had 94 smaller bags inside with a substance that also tested positive for heroin.

In total, 128 bags of heroin were found on Byrd, totaling over 4 grams of the illegal drug.

His sentencing is scheduled for November 19th and could face up to 3 years in prison.
