Man steals over $1,000 worth of merchandise from Lowes

CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- Cape Coral Police need help identifying a man who walked into Lowe's Hardware Store and stole hundreds of dollars worth of items. 

According to Cape Coral Police, the suspect walked into the hardware store on March 16 at  6 p.m. pushing an empty shopping cart. 

Store surveillance footage shows the suspect in the plumbing aisle of the store where he selected three faucets valued at $797. The suspect was spotted taking the shopping cart to the rear gate of the stores garden center. 

Cape Coral Police say the suspect retrieved a second empty shopping cart and went to the tools aisle where he selected $926.92 of merchandise. 

The suspect took the second shopping cart to the rear gate and staged it there. The suspect was seen exiting the store without the merchandise before pulling a gray SUV up to the gate where he left the shopping carts, and placed the items inside of the SUV.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 40-years-old and was wearing a red ball cap, blue workshop styled shirt, jeans and work boots.
