Man found guilty in 2017 Thanksgiving Vehicular Homicide case in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The State Attorney’s Office announced the guilty verdict of a man accused of driving recklessly and killing another driver on Thanksgiving Day in 2017.

Kenneth Graves, 38 was charged with the fatal killing of Kennya Gonzalez Ojeda, 32 after witnesses said he was driving at a high rate of speed on Veterans Parkway in

Cape Coral.

Graves struck a median went airborne and sheared off the roof of a Prius driven by Ojeda. She died two days later because of her injuries.

A Four in Your Corner investigation revealed Graves had 39 prior traffic violations on his record.

Sentencing for Graves is scheduled for August 12th. Graves faces up to 30 years in prison.
