FORT MYERS, Fla. --- A Fort Myers man is arrested after a woman claims her daughter had been molested by the suspect.
According to Fort Myers Police the woman filed a report on April 14th against her brother Jackie Johnson, 41. The mother reportedly told officers that, on more than one occasion, her daughter reported a sexual assault by her "Uncle Jackie" while sleeping over a relative's house.
During an interview with investigators, the minor told officers that Johnson would come into the room where she was sleeping and proceed to touch her inappropriately. Due to the allegations and description of the incident detectives obtained a search warrant for the crime scene and collected evidence.
Johnson was arrested and charged for Sexual Battery to ca child under the age of 12 along with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a child.
He was transported to the Fort Myers Police Department for an interview where he refused to give officers a statement.
Johnson was taken to Lee County Jail.
