Man arrested with drugs within 1,000 feet of school

CAPE CORAL, Fla.--- Cape Coral Police arresting a man after receiving calls about a suspicious car riding around an elementary school on Saturday. 

According to Cape Coral Police, Sean Russette, 24,  was spotted driving around the 4500 block of SE 14th Avenue, near Cape Coral Elementary School. Once officers located the car, Russette along with another man immediately jumped out of the car to greet officers. Russette was identified by officers as the driver of the car. 

After speaking to the two men, officers found clear bags with a white substance sitting on the driver's seat. After a further investigation, a pipe, several syringes and scales were found in the car. After testing the white substance, Cape Coral Police were able to confirm the residue tested positive for methamphetamine.

Russette was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession and transportation of drug paraphernalia.
