Collier County deputies arrested a man Sunday, after they found his car running and a toddler alone inside.
It happened at a Walgreens liquor store on 6029 Pine Ridge Road. Michael Smith is charged with child neglect without bodily harm.
A deputy noticed an SUV parked in the fire lane with its windows down and engine running. A Walgreens employee told the deputy Smith had been in the store for 10 minutes.
Temperatures in Naples on Sunday reached 80 degrees. The mother took custody of the child, who was not hurt.
