NAPLES, Fla. — The Collier County Sheriffs Office responded to the North Collier Hospital Northeast in response to a battery.

The victim, a nurse, reported that Cameron Flood, 21, had struck her in the face with a bloody face mask.

According to a report, Flood fled before deputies arrived.

Deputies were able to catch up to Flood entering a red Dodge pickup truck several days later.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 8th Street and 105th Ave N in Naples Park.

Flood was advised he was a suspect in a criminal investigation.

Flood admitted to being at the hospital at that date and time.

Flood admitted to the deputy he was getting upset at hospital staff because he was in pain from a dog bite and had to wait 1.5 hours for service. Flood felt he was not being treated fairly.

Flood says he removed his mask and threw at the laptop computer the victim was standing nearby. He advised he did not intend to strike the victim and did not strike the victim.

Flood was placed under arrest for Battery on Hospital Employee, a Felony.
