Update (April 19 at 1:05PM):
The Florida Highway Patrol says one person was taken to the hospital following a crash involving a motorcyle and another vehicle.
Troopers say a car was traveling north on the left turn lane of US 41, at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Main Street.
The motorcycle was traveling south on U.S. 41, on the inside lane, approaching Main Street.
FHP says the driver of the car failed to yield and turned left in front of the motorcyclist - causing the two to collide.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says a crash has shut down traffic in both directions on Tamiami Trail at Main Street - in front of the Sunseeker Resort.
Deputies say the Florida Highway Patrol is en route, and the roadway will be closed for "a while".
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
