FORT MYERS BEACH. FL. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a person of interest connected to the Lani Kai shooting on July 15th is in custody.
Detectives are looking at several other people of interest.
Deputies say the subject in custody was arrested on unrelated charges.
At this time, the identity of the person in custody has not been released.
Deputies say three people were shot and one person was killed at the Lani Kai Resort.
Investigators say a dispute between two groups of people at the resort lead to the shooting.
Detectives are still actively working on the homicide incident.
