LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A judge has sentenced a man to life in prison for crimes against a child in Lehigh Acres in 2018.
According to the State Attorney's Office, 39-year-old David Flowers was sentenced by Judge Margaret Steinbeck on Monday with the child victim watching in court.
In December of 2018, the Lee County Sheriffs Office arrested a person believed to have sexually battered a child in Lehigh Acres.
Police arrested Flowers and charged him one count of Engaging in an Act Which Constitutes Sexual Battery Upon or With a Child 12 Years of Age or Older but Younger than 18 Years of Age by a Person in a Familial or Custodial Authority.
Flowers was found guilty of the crime in November, 2019.
