LEE COUNTY, Fla. — More than 10 months after Hurricane Ian the demolition of the Fort Myers Beach town hall started on Friday morning around 8:30 a.m.
It is expected to take several days to demolish the entire property.
Traffic is expected to be impacted near 2525 Estero Boulevard.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are asked to use caution and patience.
Since Hurricane Ian much of the city's business has been conducted at the Diamondhead Beach Resort.
That is where the town council has moved its meetings to and will continue to have them with the next meeting coming up on August 7th.
