FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol confirmed a person was killed after a motorcycle and car collided on Iona Road.
According to FHP, a 58-year-old Fort Myers man was riding on a motorcycle traveling down Iona Road.
Troopers say a vehicle was backing up into the roadway and then collided with the motorcycle.
This happened between Lake Candlewood Drive and Omai Court on Wednesday.
The driver was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.
The crash left the driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
