UPDATE (2:15 PM) — The Cape Coral Police Department has confirmed they are handling a death investigation of a man and a woman.
Police have been on scene since around 9 a.m. Friday collecting evidence at the home. Investigators have not detailed the circumstances surrounding the death of the man and woman.
The landlord of the home tells Fox 4 the tenants have always paid their rent on time, and have lived in the home for less than a year. The names of the man and woman found dead have not been released, and it's not known if they are the renters.
Neighbors say they have not seen anything out of the ordinary at the home.
"I go by the house all the time. I don’t really see anything much," said Ryann Gardner, a neighbor. "I know the garage is normally open. I don’t see anything too different from the normal going on over there anytime I pass it."
