LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Lee County is giving drivers the option to pay any overdue traffic tickets or court fees that might be impacting the status of driver's licenses during an "Operation Green Light" event.
The county says it's part of a statewide initiative to put drivers back on the road.
As part of the initiative, Clerk Linda Doggett is allowing drivers to pay off these debts without paying any collection fees.
The event will start on February 22 and last through March 4 from 8- 5 p.m. On March 5, the event will be held from 8-7p.m. and on March 6 from 9-2p.m, virtually only.
