LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- An effort to get Lee County teachers more pay could mean another tax increase for you.
At this week’s school board meeting, the president of the Teachers Association of Lee County brought up putting a millage on property taxes, which would be used to raise teacher and support staff pay.
This has been done in Collier, Charlotte, and other Florida counties.
He suggests putting it on the 2020 ballot, saying he doesn't think it can wait until 2022.
