LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Big changes are coming to the Big Carlos Pass Bridge, which connects Bonita Springs to the south end of Fort Myers Beach.
Lee County leaders will hold a meeting to vote on how to fix the 50-year-old bridge.
Right now engineers are suggesting a 60-foot-high span bridge. Some other options include rehabbing the entire bridge or building a 24-foot clearance drawbridge.
The Bonita Springs City Council will meet on December 18 to vote.
