LEE COUNTY, Fla. — According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in Fort Myers about a suspicious male peering through someone’s window.
When Deputies arrived they found Hugo Topete Alcaraz, 40, with his hands cupped around his eyes and his face pressed up against a window of a residence.
Deputies made contact with Alcaraz who then sprinted away, attempting to flee from deputies.
A short foot pursuit occurred but quickly ended with Alcaraz in handcuffs.
Alcaraz was then transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries he sustained while avoiding arrest.
Deputies charged Alcaraz with Voyeurism for secretly observing the victim where she had a reasonable expectation of privacy, Resisting Officer without Violence and Loitering or Prowling.
Alcaraz was transported to the Lee County Jail.
