LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lee County deputy was transported to the hospital, and a K-9 unit was taken to the veterinarian office for a check-up following a crash on Joel Boulevard and Greenbriar Boulevard on Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2019 Dodge ran a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by the Lee County Sheriff's vehicle.
Troopers say both drivers were taken to Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and authorities are still on scene.
