UPDATE (12:17 PM)-- The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says on March 15th, 2021, deputies responded to Ortiz Circle in North Fort Myers about a shooting.
Deputies located a victim inside of a bedroom with several gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced deceased.
Deputies quickly detained an armed male, Luis Rodriguez Aldama, 46.
Detectives collected evidence and witness statements, later obtaining probable cause to arrest Aldama.
Aldama was charged with Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Lee County deputies are investigating a homicide on Ortiz Circle in Fort Myers.
This is an isolated incident.
