The League of Women Voters of Florida (LWVFL) hosted their "Party at the Polls" event on Saturday in hopes more people would vote.
"There is a survey that indicates that when you have these kinds of events at the polling places, it increases voting pretty dramatically," Patty Duncan said, member of LWVFL.
The nonprofit organization offered buttons, snacks and a few other treats being handed out. Duncan said the league of women voters brought goodie bags to show the their appreciation.
