FORT MYERS, Fla. -- There's now even more of a push to shut down a Fort Myers club with a history of criminal activity, sooner than planned.
Monday night, city council members gave approval for the city's attorney to file a lawsuit against Fly Lounge.
The club has had a string of shootings, arrests, and code violations.
The owner of Fly Lounge spoke at the meeting, and things got heated.
Council members Terolyn Watson and Johnny Streets voted against the lawsuit.
The property owners already have a deal in place to evict the club owners on July 31st.
