SANIBEL, Fla. --- Protesters gathered on Sanibel Causeway, Friday, to stand up against water being discharged into Lake Okeechobee.
An advocacy group from Stuart, Fla., known as East Coast River Warriors, joined the rally to show support to local protesters and their fight for clean water.
Protesters on Sanibel Causeway says Friday night's protest was in direct response to Sanibel Mayor's, "Call to action," to keep the pressure on state lawmakers to stop Lake Okeechobee discharges.
