**UPDATE (8:45AM)** -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the death under investigation on Sanibel Causeway Tuesday has been ruled an accidental death.
The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Wendy Cooper.
According to an incident report, deputies responded to a drowning at the scene shortly after 3pm Tuesday.
The investigation remains active.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Four in Your Corner is working to learn how a person was reportedly found dead along the Sanibel Causeway on Tuesday afternoon.
While investigating, deputies blocked off part of Sanibel Causeway Park for several hours.
This was happening along the eastbound lanes on the stretch of land closer to the Sanibel Island side of the causeway.
We do know that it was raining in the area when this happened.
The Lee Count Sheriff’s Office has not released any details on the investigation.
