PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- investigators in Charlotte County are working to figure out how an infant died Tuesday morning.
According to Punta Gorda Police, officers responded to the 700 block of Narranja Street in the Gulf Breeze community just after 9 a.m. after someone called 911 because an infant was unresponsive.
EMS took the baby to Bayfront Health, where the infant was pronounced dead.
The next step for detectives is getting the child's autopsy results.
