A Lee County woman upset that nothing can be done to the owner of a home covered in graffiti.

The home is located on Golfview Circle and Golfview Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.

"Whose gonna want to build there? And live next to that," said Debbie Gress.

"That" is a home covered in graffiti located close to another home owned by Gress.

My tenants have complained, there are parties over there, there's loud parties, music, and they've heard gunshots, I don't know if it's coming from that area," said Gress.

Debbie says she called Lee County Code Enforcement on the home last week.  Officers told her there's nothing they could do about the graffiti because there is no ordinance against it.

"It's been there for years, probably five years.  If you look at it now, you could see where it's been painted over. Someone tried to paint over it, and they've dumped on that road."

Debbie says the owner lives in Miami-Dade County, but owned the property for more than a decade.

"They started to build, then the recession hit, and then they just stopped, because it's not a finished structure."

Gress says she may contact the County Commission about how property owners who allow graffiti on their homes can be punished.
