COLLIER COUNTY, Fla — A hit-and-run victim now has a brand new computer thanks to local businesses and the East Naples COPs unit.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office says a driver struck 14-year-old Jamesly while he was walking to school earlier this month.

He was left in the roadway with injuries to both arms and his left leg.

Investigators say he was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital and has recovered from multiple surgeries for the last few weeks.

The new laptop was given to Jamesly to help the straight-A student at Lely High School keep up with his assignments.

Jamesly and his family also received a $200.00 gift card thanks to the East Naples substation.

Deputies also decorated the family's yard on Tuesday with welcome-home signs while Jamesly was at physical therapy.
