Community plans to wear white at local football game in remembrance of 15-year-old Khyler Edman who was killed protecting his five-year-old sister during a home invasion in Port Charlotte in September.
CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla – Under Friday night lights, people from all over Southwest Florida came together at Charlotte High School to honor a Port Charlotte teen killed while protecting his little sister.
Attendees at Friday’s football game against Port Charlotte High School wore white in remembrance of Khyler Edman. The 15-year-old was killed during a home invasion
that happened in September.
After a moment of silence, students released doves for Edman.
