HENDRY COUNTY, Fla — The Hendry County Sheriff's Office says a man was arrested for a marijuana grow operation.
Investigators say the Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Swat team, did a search warrant in the community of Montura Ranch Estates in central Hendry County.
Deputies located 37-year-old Deynier Salazar Prieto in his home and found an indoor marijuana grow house within a semi-trailer.
Investigators say it was being powered by stolen electricity. They also found several live marijuana plants and numerous amount of vacuum-sealed bags containing marijuana.
Deputies confiscated 21.72 pounds of marijuana prepackaged for sale, two firearms, and $1707.00 in cash from the home.
Investigators say the power company reported that they had been defrauded of $20,000.00 worth of electricity.
Prieto was arrested and charged with Cultivation of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Theft of Utilities to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, Possession, and Use of Drug Equipment and Operating a Drug House.
He was released on September 18, 2020, on a $20,000.00 bond.
