CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A mother of two, found herself, her kids, and her car flooded in Sunday's heavy rain pour. While strangers helped push their car through nearly 3 feet of water, they say in their neighborhood, it's normal.

“My car is broken full of water," said the mother as she looked back to the pool of water covering SE 23rd Place and Hancock Bridge.

Two other cars along with hers were left in the corner parking, where they two had been flooded.

“We were panicking because no one would come and help us and two to five minutes later these two guys came and they were helping us, trying to say what we should do," explained the woman's daughter.

Neighbors tell Fox 4 they blame the drainage system for why it floods so easily with heavy rain but they say after a couple hours it tends to also go down pretty quickly.
