FORT MYERS, Fla. — As the school year approaches, more organizations are working to make sure kids are ready.
The Harlem Heights Center in Fort Myers gave away backpacks and school supplies to 500 students on Saturday.
The Director of Arts and Community at the center says this giveaway was simply to take the extra load off of parents.
