On Tuesday morning, a Cape Coral resident, Scott Schuette woke up to his Halloween decorations missing. He lost over half of his decorations, including his ten-foot pumpkin.

Schuette says "it's going cost me about $300 to replace some of those decorations."

Every year, Scott celebrates the holidays by putting props out-- this is the first time he's ever had any items stolen from him. He believes they might be "teenagers trying to have fun at someone else's expense."

Scott and his wife, Lynne spend over $100 on candy every October. Over 800 children visit their house to go trick-or-treating.

After Scott's Halloween decor was stolen, he says over 500 people in the Cape Coral community reached out to him to voice their appreciation.

Scott and Lynne plan on staying true to their giving spirit. They'll still be giving out candy this Halloween.
