FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Southwest Florida man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the dramatic robbery of a Dunbar Family Dollar.

Rfeal Wigfals was convicted for the 2017 crime after a 2-day trial earlier this month, and has been sentenced to two life sentences.

According to the State Attorney’s Office, Wigfals wore a mask and pointed a gun at store workers, but the store manager and another man overpowered him before police arrived and arrested him.

Due to Wigfals’ status as a Prison Releasee Re-Offender, he faced a mandatory life sentence for the robbery.
