LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is tapping former naval officer turned real-estate broker Raymond Sandelli to fill the vacant District 3 seat on the Lee County Commission board.

Governor DeSantis says “although he did not seek this position, he has graciously accepted to the call to serve,” adding his business and military background will benefit the community.

“I am grateful to Governor DeSantis for asking me to serve on the board of the Lee County Commission,” said Sandelli. “I look forward to serving the constituents of Lee
County alongside my fellow commissioners, a responsibility I do not take lightly. This is a great honor and I thank Governor DeSantis for his leadership.”

Sandelli is replacing Larry Kiker, who passed away in April.

The District 3 seat is up for election in 2020.
